Virgil Idle Obituary

IDLE Virgil Idle, age 68, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at Riverside Hospital. Retired Columbus Dispatch, former president of the Capital City Motorcycle Club. Preceded in death by father William Idle, step-father Jim Speelman, son Michael McCormick. Survived by mother, Lucille Speelman; daughters, Vicki Henslee and Virginia Wehner; step-daughter, Carol Barnes; uncle Bob Idle, aunt Helen Brandt; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Virgil requested to be cremated without any visitation, service or flowers. Memorial service will be held Sunday, February 12, 2006, 1-4 p.m. at The Capital City Motorcycle Club, 9706 Borror Rd., Orient, Ohio 43146, (614) 877-1777. Arrangements completed at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 2693 W. Broad St.

I was a childhood friend of his. I liked him a lot and we hung out with the same friends in the South end of Columbus. I don't know why I thought of him tonight, but just good memories came flooding back. We lost touch when he got in trouble, but I never forgot him. He was good to me and so sweet.
