1928 - 2018
William E. Dunaway, age 90, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 12, 2018. Bill was preceded in death by his parents H. Clay and Connie Dunaway, sister Donna (Jack) Byrd, sister-in-law Wilma Dunaway and son-in-law John Stiles. Bill was a retired veteran of the U.S. Army, with 42 years of service. He reached the rank of Chief Warrant Officer IV; the highest ranked non-commissioned officer at the time of his retirement. Bill loved his country, and served with pride and honor. Bill was also the owner of Bill Dunaway Auto Sales for over 40 years. Bill was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Affectionately called "Poppy", Bill is survived by the love of his life, married for 72 years, Evelyn Jean; children, Sharon Stiles, Ed (Judy) Dunaway, and Connie (Eddy) Hammond; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and cousin, Leo Dunaway. Family will receive friends from 10-11 am Monday, June 18, 2018 at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 11 am. Interment will follow in procession to Kingwood Memorial Park, 8230 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center, Ohio. To share condolences please visit www.schoedinger.com.

I am so sorry for your loss...... Although I have never met Mr. Dunaway, I feel like it was his plan to have our paths cross when you called me at the Courthouse the other day. May the memories you all have help to bring peace to your hearts and may he RIP and Fly with the Angels. Thank You Mr. Dunaway for your service. God Bless you All.
