To the Gotschall Family,

My sympathies to the family. I remember meeting and purchasing several of Mr. Gotschall's paintings from when he and his wife attended the Oktoberfest. I also stopped by their home to pick-up a painting I had purchased for my parents - which still hangs in my parents living room. I graduated from OSU in 1977 with a degree in history - I wish I had had more time to get to know Mr. Gotschall and to learn more about his life. From my brief contacts with him, he was an extraordinary individual.

I am an owner of several of Mr. Gotschalls paintings. I remember when I had just gotten out of the Navy in 1976 and met Bill at the Octoberfest. My thought are with you.

God Bless you Bill, Rhea and entire family.

Bill, you will forever be remembered as my hero in my younger years, during the war years, and all following years.

I shall hold dear to my heart the fond memories shared with you and Rhea during your visits to my home in Florida and all you have done for me. You shall always be remembered, fondly.

Rest in peace my cherished friend and Cousin.
