William Jump Obituary

Jump, William
William Sims Jump, 78, passed away on Jan. 14 in Cottonwood, AZ. Born Feb. 28, 1942, in Corsicana, TX, he graduated from Denver South High School in Denver, CO (1960). He attended the University of Colorado (CU) and received his degree in Business (1965). Bill was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Jump. After college, Bill accepted a position with Cummins Engine Company for 18 years. After Cummins, Bill moved to Ohio and helped start Dec Investment Group (DEC), a multifamily real estate investment company. After DEC sold its portfolio, Bill moved to Sedona, AZ. There he was introduced to Out of Africa Wildlife Park in Phoenix, and he helped move the park to Camp Verde. He then became one of its owners. Bill is survived by his sister, Linda Lammersen (Barry) of Scottsdale, AZ; son, Mark Jump of Columbus, OH; son, Clark Jump (Tara) of Powell, OH; daughter, Merrin (Shane) Francis of Dublin, OH; and 9 grandchildren. Due to COVID-related restrictions, there is currently no public service planned; however, the family plans to hold a Celebration of Life service in Sedona, at a future time and place TBD.
