He was a very special and kind person. I first met him as a child because my mother Mrs. K., worked in the original Mathematics library. As I became older and a student at OSU, I spent many hours AR Larry's trying to keep up with those conversations he would have. He was good friends with Roy Myers and to hear their chats was amazing. He was a friend to my mother and myself and I thank him for that. He will be forever in my heart.

William came to my high school graduation to see me graduate. It was the first time we saw each other for many years since he and my mother separated. We talked for hours. He was a very compassionate and a smart man. He even showed me how interesting fractals are. I wish we had more time together. Miss you! Your son William.

I was saddened to learn of Willie's death. I have such fond memories of him from the Players Theatre days. He was such a gentle man, very funny and much smarter than the rest of us. His eyes would fill with such warmth when speaking to friends.

I have missed Willie for the 22 years since I moved from Columbus to Seattle. He was a very lovable man whom I valued greatly as a colleague and friend. I didn't know he had a son or siblings. I wish I could have known him more. My deep condolences to his family and friends.

Our deep condolences to an old friend both as a colleague in the department and on the tennis courts (except for your erratic serves which are fondly appreciated!). Very much saddened by your leaving us so unexpectedly. We shall miss you more than anyone can imagine.
Affectionately,
John & Lynn Hsia
