William N. Perman

PERMAN William N. "Bill" Perman, age 80, former Shelby resident, died Saturday morning, October 23, 2010 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. Born August 3, 1930 in Shelby, Ohio to George and Velma (Carson) Perman, he had been a resident of Shelby moving to Florida in 1989. Bill was a 1948 graduate of Shelby High School and worked as a supervisor with the Federal Government retiring in 1985. He was a veteran of Air National Guard of Ohio. Bill was a member of the Terra Ceia United Methodist Church in Terra Ceia, Florida, Order of Eastern Star, Masonic Lodge-Sunrise Lodge #0783, Shriners International and the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite-Valley of Columbus the Gulf Shrine Club in Bradenton, FL and Sahib Temple of Sarasota. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing and traveling in his motorhome. Survivors include his wife, Ruth (Starr) Perman, whom he married July 22, 1950; one daughter and son-in-law, Debra (Tom) Davis of Dublin, OH; one brother, George Perman of Shelby, OH; one brother-in-law, Mel Starr of Crestline, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Robert Perman. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at the BARKDULL FUNERAL HOME in Shelby, where Masonic service will be conducted at 9:45 a.m. Pastor Mike Corwin will officiate with interment in Sandusky Cemetery in Tiro, Ohio.
