William Schwartz

SCHWARTZ William Schwartz, age 57, of Hilliard, passed away Monday, December 6, 2010 at his home. He was born January 31, 1953 in Rutland, Vermont and grew up in Rochester, NY. He came to Columbus in 1970 as a student at The Ohio State University, where he earned bachelor's and master's degrees. He was employed at Ohio State University for more than 33 years and has served as Associate Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Student Life since 2001. His talents and dedication were instrumental in planning numerous projects, including the university's recreation center and student union. Preceded in death by mother Jeanne Wallach Schwartz. Bill is survived by his wife, Sandra Graham Schwartz; daughters, Lauren Schwartz and Lisa Schwartz; father and step-mother, Harold and Irene Schwartz; sister, Ellen (David) Smith; brothers, Ronald (Deborah) Schwartz and Martin Schwartz; mother-in-law, Thelma Graham; sister-in-law, Jayne Graham; nieces and nephews, Lindsey (Jordan) Genut, Diana Smith, Stephanie Schwartz, Michael Schwartz, Jonathan Schwartz and Brigitte Schwartz. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday with The Rev. Jim Browne officiating. Interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
