William Anthony "Billy" Wickes, age 35, of Dublin, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 16, 2018 at his residence. Born May 14, 1983 in Columbus, Ohio. Billy was a supervisor at Hollywood Casino. His favorite activity with his son, Will, was playing the Fort Nite game and Paw Patrol with his daughter Anna. He looked forward to and enjoyed the many fun family trips to Disney World. He loved his family very much and considered his family to be his life. Billy enjoyed golfing, was an avid Manchester United fan and loved all OSU sports. Preceded in death by his sister: Amy Wickes – 2017. Survived by his loving wife of 9 years: Kaitlin Rene' (Carey) Wickes whom he married December 7, 2009; children: William Allen "Will" Wickes (age 6), Anna Noel Wickes (age 3); mother: Cindy (Jack Green) Wesney, father: William "Billy" Wickes; mother and father-in-law: Cindy and Brent Ellis; brother-in-law: Kyle Carey; sister-in-law: Carla (Anthony) Rhodes; nephew and niece: Mason and Aleigh Rhodes. The family will receive friends 4 – 8 PM Tuesday at Ferguson Funeral Home, 202 E. Main St. (Rt. 161W), Plain City where the funeral will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 22, 2018. Pastor Steven Hicks officiating. Burial Forest Grove Cemetery. Billy was passionate about providing to less fortunate children. I knew Will from working directly with him at Hollywood Casino Columbus. He was a terrific human being with a great deal of compassion and very calming and peaceful approach. Whenever there was a problem, he fixed it without panic, which was transferable and gave me that same level of calmness. May your family be provided with the highest level of comfort and peace in this time of loss.
