Bonnie Todd

1943 - 2017

Bonnie Todd departed this world and went to be with her Lord on May 12, 2017 at 10:50 AM, surrounded by her loving family, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. She passed from this earthly home to one up above in restful peace. Bonnie was born December 23, 1943 in Okolona, MS, to Joe and Mable Ferguson Fleming. Her family moved to New Albany, MS where she grew up and attended school. Bonnie was well known for her extracurricular activities, such as, cheerleading and her tap dancing. She performed all over the Mid-South on WMC-TV5 and at the Mid-South Fair andTalent Show. She took her ability a step further and made dancing and voice her career, owning Bonnie Todd Dance and Vocal Studios in New Albany and Ecru for over 40 years. She touched the lives of so many children in the area and she enjoyed every minute of her career and loved each and every one of her "dance kids". She met the love of her life, Tom Todd, of Ecru, one night at Newton's Drive In on Hwy 78 in New Albany. After dating for 4 years, Tom and Bonnie were married on November 25, 1965. They shared 52 more wonderful years together. From this wedded bliss, two wonderful children were produced, Tabatha Todd Dearman(Shack McAlester) and Gable Todd(Barbara). The family further branched out with grandchildren, Jade Whitlow(Chad), Chyna-Rae Dearman, Caleb Todd, Lauren Myhand(Jastan) and great grandchildren, Eli Mann and Hallie Rae Myhand. Bonnie also leaves her sister, Jannie Owen of Tupelo. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be Monday, May 15, 2017 at 2PM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc. Bro. Mike Reeves and Bro. Tracy Quillian will officiate. Burial will follow in Ecru Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers: Tracy Davis, Neal Davis, Shane Turk, Stephen McBrayer, Jason Hall and Chris Westmoreland.

Honorary Pallbearers: Eli Mann, Chad Whitlow, Shack McAlester and Caleb Todd.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 14, 2017 5-8PM and Monday, 1-2PM at the funeral home.
