Charles Boyd Obituary

Charles Henry Boyd was born May 14, 1943 in Tiplersville, MS to the late Vance Boyd, Sr. and Nylean Rogers Boyd. He was married to Diana Lynch of Memphis, TN until he departed this life on July 28, 2025 at home surrounded by his family. Charles H. Boyd dedicated his life to Christ at a very young age. He joined Mallalieu United Methodist Church where he served on the board until his health started to fail. Throughout his life he had many occupations, which included washing cars for Bobby Castle's car lot, Futorian Manufacturing, a custodian for both W.P. Daniel High School and New Albany Middle School, and a bus driver for the New Albany School District on famous bus number forty-six until his retirement. Charles was also an avid motorcyclist, and was a member of the neighborhood motorcycle club.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Diana Boyd; his children, Christopher J. Ross, Sr. (Ylander), Cynthia McShan (Jimmy), Cinsuer Driver, Charleen Anderson (Phillip), Wayne Boyd, and Vickie Lesure; twelve grandchildren, Knshanda Ross, Tyneshia Walker, Cegoshas Ross, Jessica Pickens, Justin Walker, Christopher Ross III, Terrianna Driver, Dominique Anderson, Xavier Anderson, Chardae Anderson, Teresa Lesure, and Princess Lesure; two brothers, Dennis Boyd (Frances) and Vance Boyd, Jr. (Katie); his in-laws, Norma Parker of Detroit, MI and Yvonne Williams of Olive Branch, MS; and a host of great grandchildren that he left a blueprint and legacy for them to follow.

Charles H. Boyd was preceded in death by his parents, Vance Boyd, Sr. and Nylean Boyd; son, Tyrone Boyd; two great grandchildren, Jayden Pickens and Cheyanna Pickens; five sisters, Mary McAllister, Dora Gilbert, Roxy Bean Boyd, Annie D. Berry, Lucille Payton; and son-in-law, Terrance Driver.
