1944 - 2017

Danny Lee Grisham, 72, lifelong resident of the Ripley Community and devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather, passed away peacefully Friday morning July 21, 2017 at the Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth following a brief illness.

Funeral Services honoring the well lived life of Mr. Grisham will be a 2 PM Tuesday July 25 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Goodwin and Bro. Tommy Young officiating. Burial will follow in Jacob's Chapel Cemetery near Ripley.

Born November 26, 1944 in Tippah County, he was the son of the late Thomas Joffre and Tula Geneva Elder Grisham. Mr. Grisham was a 1962 graduate of Blue Mountain High School and was married August 30, 1963 to his beloved wife of almost 54 years, Evelyn Young Grisham, who survives. A member of Fellowship Christian Church , he was a dedicated LP Gas Technician for the Coombs Gas, Inc. in Blue Mountain for 34 years until his retirement three years ago.

Mr. Grisham had a love for his family, his community, his church, his work and adored all eight of his grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors which included fishing, quail hunting and coon hunting in earlier years.

A multi-talented man, Mr. Grisham's passion was his woodworking and crafting skills. He handcrafted many toys and furniture for his family, friends and church, paying close attention to details. He will be remembered by many as a warm and loving friend who was always ready to reach out to others.

Visitation will continue today until service time at The Ripley Funeral Home.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Grisham is survived by his children, Tracie Grisham-Sanders (Robert) of St. Mary's, GA, Angie South (Larry) of Booneville, Kenny Grisham of Ripley and Mindy Seiler (David) of Birmingham, AL, three sisters, Patty Childers (Dwight) and Judy McMillin both of Falkner and Ann Dunnam (Ronnie) of Blue Mountain, three brothers, Thomas Grisham (Martha) and Ronnie Grisham (Martha) both of Ripley and Bobby Grisham (Blanche) of Blue Mountain, eight grandchildren, Addison and Grayson Sanders, Jackson, Weston and Zackary South, Sydney and Nicole Grisham and Emma Seiler. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Martindale and a brother in law, Danny McMillin.

Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers will be his much loved family members.
