Andrea Faye Vaughn Mims Andrea Faye Vaughn Mims, a resident of Dothan, died Thursday April 4, 2013 at her residence. She was 61. Funeral services for Mrs. Mims will be held at 2 PM Sunday April 7, 2013 at Bethel Baptist Church with Reverend Ricky Plummer officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory with Southern Heritage directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 PM until 7 PM tonight. Mrs. Mims was born December 24, 1951 to Clayburn and Mary Smith Vaughn. She was a 1971 graduate of Dothan High School and graduated Nursing School in 1972. She married Gary L. Mims, Sr. and travelled with him as an Air Force wife until moving back to Dothan in 1988. Mrs. Mims was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and enjoyed singing and doing crafts. Mrs. Mims is preceded in death by her father, Clayburn Vaughn, husband, Gary L. Mims, Sr. and her twin sister, Angela Pace. Survivors include her mother, Mary Vaughn, Dothan; two sons, Gary L. Mims. Jr., Christopher Mims, Dothan; two daughters, Audrey Palmer, Bonifay, Betsy Vickers (Steve), Bonifay; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Becky Skipper (Steve), Dothan, Rhonda Mayhall, Dothan; four brothers, Clayburn Vaughn, Dothan, John Vaughn, Ashford, Charles Vaughn, Dothan, Joseph Vaughn, Dothan and a special aunt, Eva Smith; several nieces and nephews also survive.
