Mrs. Imogene Mahan Pridgen of Geneva, Alabama passed way Monday, August 17, 2015. She was 98. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2015, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Minister Harry O. Adkison officiating. Burial will follow in the Earlytown Church of Christ Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 9:00 a.m. and continue until service time. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Geneva Senior Citizens Center, 105 N. Washington Ave., Geneva, AL 36340. Mrs. Pridgen was born June 12, 1917, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to the late William Albert and Rosa Bell Jarvis Mahan. She attended the Geneva Senior Citizens Center where she had been a member for a number of years. She enjoyed meeting all of her friends at the center every day shelling peas and playing Bingo. She was a life-long member of the Samson Church of Christ. She was a very loving and devoted mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, her husband, Virgil D. Pridgen, a son, Buddy Pridgen, three brothers and five sisters, preceded her in death. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Dwight "Shug" Crews, Sr., of Geneva, AL; one son and daughter-in-law, William and Louise Pridgen of Hacoda, AL; six grandchildren: Mona Crews, Dwight Crews, Jr., Melody Ann Bruner, Joy Purinton, Tammy Walters and Lori Jones; twelve great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren: one brother, Tim Mahan of Milton, FL; several special nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
