Karin Christina Cody Mrs. Karin Christina Cody of Slocomb passed away on Monday, December 13, 2010 at the family residence. She was 64. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2010 in New Hinson Baptist Church with Rev. Teddy Ward and Rev. Adam Habbard officiating. Burial will follow in New Hinson Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to New Hinson Baptist Church Building Fund, 1143 County Road 48, Slocomb, AL 36375. Mrs. Cody was born on February 22, 1946 in Mainz, Germany to Hella Lang Siegrist and the late Walter Rheinhard. Her husband, Donald C. Cody, as well as her father preceded her in death. Survivors include two daughters: Christina Wood (Donald) of Melbourne, FL, Tammie Santora (Phillip) of Slocomb; one son: Donald C. Cody, Jr. (Beverly) of Dothan; her mother: Hella Siegrist of Germany; one sister: Monika Cinski (Ron) of New York; one brother: Franz Siegrist (Ulrike) of Germany; six grandchildren: Jonathon, Scotty, Cody, Rachel, Donald, Gabrielle; one great grandchild: Hunter; several nieces and nephews.
