Sidney had the gift of being able to explain a very complex subject in a very understandable manner. I will always be grateful for the short course on accounting he provided for me when I was first tasked by my editor to write an article on local bank assets/liabilities for The Southern Star back in the early 1970's. His patience was heroic. Deep sympathy to his children on his passing.

We read of Sidney's passing in the Southern Star, and would like to express our condolences to the Walker family. Growing up in Ozark we were Sidney's neighbors on Eufaula St. and he and our father, Glenn Wells, were connected through business and a long friendship.
