Robert Gray Obituary

Robert Stanley Gray, Jr., 84, of Bristol passed away peacefully with his wife at his side on Saturday, July 13, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Katherine A. (Bisbano) Gray for 63 years before his passing.

Born in Providence and raised in Bristol, he was the son of the late Robert and Mary (Cavalieri) Gray. He was a graduate of Colt Memorial High School, class of 1958.

Robert was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. He worked as a Lab Manager at Lloyd Manufacturing for many years. Robert had a life long love for music. Robert played in many Bugle and Drum Corps throughout the state starting with the Rangers Bugle and Drum Corps and the Generations Bugle and Drum Corps. He was also the President of the Babe Ruth League for many years and enjoyed coaching youth sports. Most of all he loved his family.

Robert is survived by his wife Katherine; their children: Karen A. Gray, Kevin R. Gray (Holly); their grandchildren: Meghan K. Haggerty, Kelsey B. Johansen (Jared), Victoria G. Woods (Tanner), Alexandra E. Gray (John); their great grandchildren: Charlotte and Camilla Johansen; and his brother: Peter F. Gray (Carole).

Robert was pre-deceased by his parents and his brother Stephen M. Gray.

Visiting Hours will be held at Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood Street, Bristol, RI on Sunday, July 21, 2024, from 2:00 – 5:00 PM. His funeral service will start from Sansone Funeral Home at 9:00 AM on Monday, July 22, 2024 with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 141 State Street, Bristol, RI at 10:00 AM. Robert will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol.
