Alan Austin Ayres
April 17, 1919 - Feb. 3, 2014
Resident of San Ramon
Alan was born in Carthage, Mississippi and passed away at the age of 94. Alan was a retired U. S. Army Major and served during World War II in the China Burma India Theater. After the war he was stationed in various locations throughout the world. He resided in San Ramon, California for the last 47 years. Alan is survived by two sons and their wives, Joseph & Teresa Ayres and David & Ann Marie Ayres all from Livermore; one daughter, Katrina Ayres from San Ramon; 5 grandchildren Matthew & (Pamela) Ayres, Jennifer & (Michael) Brandt, Adam & (Janelle) Ayres, David & (Heather) Ayres, Jr. and Julie Ayres, three great grandchildren, Aidan Ayres, Lauren Brandt and Jonathan Brandt. Alan was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Ann Ayres.
Visitation Thursday, February 6 from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. followed by a reception at Graham-Hitch Mortuary, 4167 First Street, Pleasanton, CA 94566
