Memories of that sense of humor only a family member (well, maybe a lot of other people too) could appreciate have always been there.
For instance only a big brother about 10 years old could teach his little sister how to make Bronx cheers that would sound like the real thing. (I still keep the kids in my sessions in awe when they think they can shock me with their noises, then I break out with a brief rendition Anchors Aweigh with the same great sound we had when we were kids, only musical!)
There's the time mom told us to quit fighting or "there won't be any Easter" for either one of us. We were involved in that game where we'd try to throw that fat, ugly, opera singer-like doll into each other's room before the other could slam the door shut.
Then of course there's "Lawrence Welk Strikes Again", that tape you and I made when you came back from Nam?! If we could have done a professional recording of it we'd be famous now!
Anyhow, hope nobody thinks this is krass or inappropriate. I know you wouldn't. Thanks for all of the laughs and lessons. Catch ya later!
Love,
Your (not so little anymore) sister
