Louis "Bud" Berner
Dec. 7, 1921 - Feb. 28, 2018
Resident of Richmond CA
Born in Rock Island, IL. Served in US Navy as a machinist mate on an oiler until 1945. Moved to Richmond in 1948 and worked for American Standard where he met his beloved late wife Amelia, to whom he was happily married to for 63 years. Member of Richmond Galileo Club, ICF and Elks Lodge.
Bud was active in Salesian Boys & Girls Club and recipient of The Don Bosco Award as well as many others. Survived by a sister, Ethel Masterson and many nieces and nephews.
Contributions welcomed for Salesian Boys & Girls Club, or charity of your choice.
Memorial luncheon Sunday, April 8th at 1p.m. at Richmond Elks Lodge #1251 3931 San Pablo Dam Road, El Sobrante.

I got to know Bud at the Galileo Club where he played Pedro with his friends every Tuesday and Thursday. He was a fun guy and fit right in with the other Pedro players. He had many good times at the club and will be missed by his fellow members.
