With deep sympathy to the Hyman family. In 1978, my first job was in Fremont Bank in the, then, Personnel Department. One of my first projects was to type out the department list. Spelling of names are tough in themselves, let alone, typing and proofing them. Well, I'll NEVER forget that I typed his name on the department list wrong... I typed "H-U-M-A-N"! I thought for sure I'd be fired but, instead, he happened to come to our office located in Town Faire during one of his visits and he approached me and said, "youre the one who tried to make me a 'human'!" That broke the ice with me and I remember thinking, I want to be like you when I grow up -- intelligent, humorous, happy, fair but firm. Alvirda, Howard, Hattie and Alan -- my deepest sympathy go out to you. I, too, am a cancer survivor and hope that I'll get the opportunity to live as well a life as Morris did. Thank you, Morris, for your inspiration and most of all, thank you for bringing Fremont Bank into the world. You will be greatly missed!

My thoughts and prayers go to Mr. Hyman's family and friends. I had the pleasure of working for Mr. Hyman for approx 8 yrs, as a teller, and as an Operations Officer, as well as heading the Teller Training Program. I thank him for all of those opportunies.

ROY and JANE CLARK

October 23, 2005

On behalf of Roy and myself our deepest condolences to the family of Morris. I first met Morris when I was 23 years old and an entry level employee of Fremont Bank. Needless to say I was awed by and fearful of him. After all he was the "power" on the floor. Our most recent meetings were surrounding the deaths in our family of Roy's father, mother, and brother. I found Morris to be a comforting presense. He was caring, compassionate, kind, and even loving. While much has been written of his financial generosity what stands out for me most was his spiritual generousity. I know he truly understood that by giving, we recieve, by giving, the soul is filled, and the spirit enriched. So although I can say that after all these years I am still awed by him, he long ago dispelled the fear. I was greatly saddened by his death. Roy and I will miss him.

Our family will miss Morris dearly; he and Alvirda and the entire Hyman family have been such kind, generous and loyal friends. In good times and in hard times, you could always count on a smile and a kind word. To the entire family, we send our thoughts and prayers for you all.

I am extremely thankful for the opportunity Uncle Morris afforded Chuck and I 28 years ago when we were first married. I have no regrets about leaving Fremont to return home to Texas and the rest of my family, however, I do regret that I did not remain in close contact with Uncle Morris and Aunt Alvirda. Their kindness and generosity, as well as Howard's, has been, and always will be remembered and appreciated and I will continue to love them and think of them often.

May God bless you and comfort you in his loving embrace as you grieve the loss of your loving husband, father, and grandfather. While we suffer a great loss, Heaven gains a beautiful angel.

With Love and Prayers,

Chuck, Deborah and family

I am sorry to hear of your loss. Morris spent many years being a mentor to both my brother Charles and me. His loss will be sorely felt by the community. He has left quite a legacy for both his family and the community. With sincere sympathy Barbara.

My condolences go out to the family. I worked with Clara Roy, Mr. Hyman's sister. She always had a good word to speak about her 'brother in California'. May God grant you peace and understanding in this time of sorrow. Even though I never met him, I believe he was a great example to all those who knew him. I know he will be greatly missed. God Bless
