Natalia Redenbaugh Obituary

Natalia Redenbaugh
November 30, 1965-September 30, 2018
Oakland
Natalia C. Redenbaugh, age 52, passed away at home on Monday, September 3, 2018, following a brief illness. She was born November 30, 1965, in Worcester, Massachusetts, to Daniel Hayward and Ingerose (Goetz) Hayward. Natalia married Russell Redenbaugh in 2007 in San Francisco, and they shared a warm, art-filled home in the Oakland hills. Theirs was a true partnership, as they collaborated deeply on many high-impact management consulting projects, investment articles and papers, and one short book. Natalia was a voracious reader and accomplished writer. She approached complex issues with determination and savvy. Her zest for life and adventure lead her to travel to many countries around the world, often with Russell at her side. Natalia lived life to the fullest and loved spending time with friends and family, which included her beautiful dogs, Emma, Shimmer, Sophie, Phoebe, and Moxie. She loved fashion, fine art, cooking, hiking, travel, discussing current affairs, and spending time with her nieces, nephews, and extended family. Natalia had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and loving way. She is survived by her husband, Russell, close friends, mother, father, brother, Roger Hayward, sister, Tonya Hayward, nephew Damian Skibitzki and Till Goetz, nieces Laura Goetz, Leoni Mestrischt, Merle Goetz, and cousin, Lorelei M. Hayward. Family, friends, and others whose lives Natalia touched are invited to the Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, 4499 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, CA, from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2018 to celebrate and share memories of Natalias life, favorite music, photo collection, and reminisce about the greatest gift she shared with us, and we will continue to share with one another: LOVE.
Please consider making a donation in Natalias name to Shes the First, a non-profit organization that supports girls around the globe who will be the first in their families to graduate high school (www.shesthefirst.org) or to the disaster relief efforts surrounding Hurricane Florence.

Though the pain has eased from your passing, I miss you very much and think of you often. I remember how you loved helping others. Encouraging them to better themselves and succeed. Your love for children and the happiness you had interacting with them. The energy you had to go and experience the things life had to offer. How smart you were and how easy it was for you to learn. I wish we had more time together to make more memories. I wonder what I could have done different that may have kept you here in this world. I have hope that you are well in another life. That you live on in happiness and that I may some day see you again. I love you very much.

Dear Natalia,

I still remember the summer of 1992: it was my big adventure going on a trip to the USA as a kid. Some scenes are still vividly in front of my inner eye, always leaving warm feelings of being welcomed and loved. It was a really nice time back then. I miss you and I miss the good times and they will always be a part of me and my life!

Natalia, I cannot describe the pain I feel losing you. It's so hard to accept. I had hoped we could have shared more time together in this life. I have fond memories of us playing together with our German Lego set. The puppets we shared. How cute you looked with your banana curls. You beating me in arm wrestling. How embarrassing! The children's oven you used to bake with. I think I was your only customer. Your first time learning to ride a bicycle. How smart you were. Straight A's. You receiving a dollar for every A, and myself a spanking for the f's. The report you drafted to help me with English. So advanced no one would ever believe I had ever written it. Teaching you to drive a standard. My poor car! The day you left for CA in that Sazuki Samari. So full of hope and adventure. I thought you were brave and was excited for you. How beautiful you looked at your wedding. The time you spent with my family. The special interest you took in my children. Your love and generosity. I will not forget!
Goodbye sister. I love you. I miss you. I will always feel the loss of losing you. I hope you have found peace and happiness. I pray we may see each other again and I can hug you once more. With love, your brother

Dear Natalia,

you and me had a great hike through the Alps, I will never forget! You know, Leoni still has the plush cat you gave her years ago. Everytime I wear the earrings I will remember you.

Dear Natalia,

we will never forget how you showed the fun of making s'mores to us. Thank you for the great times at La Cantina in Weinheim where we always laughed a lot sharing funny stories. Hope you met Emma where you are now.
