Robert CONRADY

Robert Grattan Conrady July 21, 1921 ~ Dec. 23, 2010 Resident of Martinez Robert G. Conrady died peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. Born and raised in Salt Lake City, UT, Robert graduated with a B.S. degree in Metallurgical Engineering in 1950. He served in the US Navy during WWII as a Navigator / Quartermaster Second Class on the USS Croatan from 1942-1946. Robert retired from Tosco Refinery in 1984 as a Senior Chemist after 32 years. A resident of Martinez since 1952, Robert was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church. He joins his parents Albert George and Mary Irene; sister Helen and brother Bill in Heaven; and is survived by his wife of 52 years, Maria originally from Lucca, Italy and his brother Tom of San Diego, CA. Robert is also survived by his three daughters and 9 grandchildren; Nancy Joyner-Jimenez married to Rick and their children Stanley and Robert Joyner, Taylor, Dylan and Brittany Jimenez of Martinez, CA; Vanna Conrady-Cossano married to Rick and their daughter Kendall Cossano of Lafayette, CA; and Lia McCormick married to Carl and their children Chase and Rylee also of Martinez, CA. Great-grand-daughter is Mira Belle Joyner daughter of Stanley and Jaime Joyner. The Rosary and Visitation will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Church located at 606 Mellus St, Martinez, CA. The Rosary will take place at 7:00pm on Wed., Dec. 29 and the Funeral will take place at 11:00am on Thurs., December 30, 2010. Robert will be laid to rest immediately following the services at Queen of Heaven Cemetery located at 1965 Reliez Valley Rd., Lafayette, CA. Family and friends are invited to gather following the burial at the home of Rick and Vanna Cossano (directions will be provided).
