Andrew Hayter Obituary

Andrew (Andy) Charles Hayter, 61, passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021, peacefully at his home. Andy was born on August 9, 1959, in Biloxi, Mississippi, to Robert Charles and Patricia Lou (Fidler) Hayter.
Survivors include: his son; Robert (Aspyn) Hayter of Clovis, NM and grand-dogs; Harley and Osa, Robert's step-brother; Matt Minix of Hamlet, IN, parents; Bob and Pat Hayter of Clovis, sisters; Terry (David) Loudenburg of Rosharon, TX, and Annette (Roc) Marks of Clovis, NM, cousins; Mike (Kelly) Daube of Walkerton, IN and Susan Daube of Indianapolis, IN, nieces and nephews; Brandon (Carly) Loudenburg of Houston, TX, Megan (Jarod) Wilhite of Clovis and Tyler (Michelle) Marks of Houston, TX, and great nieces and nephews; Kyan, Remy, and Evan Wilhite, Ellar Marks, Asher and Dax Loudenburg.
Andy was preceded by; his grandparents; Ernest and Ruth Hayter, Helen Hassler, and an uncle and aunt; Ted and Irma Jean Daube.
As a child, Andy was a military brat and lived at Air Force bases in Mississippi, Ohio, Indiana, Texas, Nevada, England and New Mexico. He was a skilled baseball and soccer player, and played the trumpet in a jazz band in high school. Andy graduated from Clovis High School in 1977 and Eastern New Mexico University in 1982, with a degree in Business Administration. He was a certified underwater diver and completed his training at Kino Bay, Mexico. He enjoyed operating and repairing farm machinery and equipment. He worked on farms in Walkerton, IN, Portales, Pleasant Hill, and Clovis, NM. He also worked in chemical operations and production in Texas and Indiana.
Andy was a very generous person and cared deeply about his family and friends. His son, Robert was his pride and joy. He enjoyed taking care of his grand-dogs and beagle-sister; Allie. He was an enthusiastic video game player, loved watching movies, and playing golf.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, July 9, 2021, at the First United Methodist Church, 1501 Sycamore St, Clovis, NM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
