Carolyn Bell Greenwood, 90, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022, at Majestic Nursing Home, Goshen. She was born Sept. 2, 1932, in Circleville, Ohio, to John and Hazel Hamilton.
She married William Glendon Hart who preceded her in death in 1955. She married James W. Greenwood on Aug. 13, 1964. He preceded her in death on March 26, 2020.
Carolyn graduated from Williamsport High School in Ohio. She was a cook in the cafeterias for Concord Community Schools for many years. She attended Grace Brethren Church in Elkhart.
Surviving are her children, William Glenn Hart of Athens, Alabama, John (Debbie) Hart of Elkhart and Christina Shrock of Fort Wayne, Indiana; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, two sons, David and Gary Hart, brother Jack Hamilton, and son-in-law Neil Shrock.
There will be a graveside service for Carolyn at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at Frame Cemetery, 60411 C.R. 113, Elkhart, IN 46517, with Pastor Frank Ramirez and Pastor Bob Kulp officiating.
