Elzy J. "Jeffery" Sweeten Jr., 30, of Elkhart, passed away June 20, 2022.
He was born June 4, 1992, in Elkhart, Indiana.
Surviving are his father, Elzy (Christie) Sweeten Sr.; mother, Elaine Kentner; two sons, Mason and Maverick; 11 siblings, Patricia, Stephnie, B.J., Joe, Charlie, Tim Sickles, Kellison Black, Airck Black, Ashlie, Wyatt (Alivia Stamm), and Brandon (Larissa) Cassity. Also surviving are several friends who were more like family including, Adam Perkins, Larry Bragg, Derek (Kaitlea) Smith, Jimmy and Westley Gearin and numerous other family members.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Elzie A. Sweeten and Juanita (William) Tripp; maternal grandparents, Judy Grinsley and Charles A. Harris; aunt Brenda Gearin and an uncle, Jeremy Bair.
Jeffery worked at Majestic Security and was a member of Southside Baptist Church where he was also baptized. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and feeling the freedom it gave him. His family and children were what he lived for, and they truly meant the world to him. Jeffery will be remembered as a kindhearted man that wore his heart on his sleeve and was loved by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the 3 p.m. celebration of life service Tuesday, June 28, at Southside Baptist Church, 29064 C.R. 16, Elkhart, IN 46516.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help offset expenses on their Go Fund Me page.
Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Your smiles, hugs,laughter,will be dearly missed my son.We were so close to our reunion..but One day we will meet again till then watch over all of us here.. When we hear thunder we will know it's you riding the clouds.....rest in peace my son I love you and miss you so much!!!

I had the honor of knowing Elzy when he worked at Manchester Tank. Elzy was kind and so a appreciative. He often spoke of his children and family. I am very sorry for your loss.
