I just heard the sad news. I only knew Mr. Swift as a customer, and although I probably only took four jobs to him, the quality of his work and his craftsmanship, at prices that forced me to tip him double and still feel like I was cheating him... I can't imagine anyone that would be worth more to a community. He seemed like one in a million. His loved ones should be extremely proud. My condolences.

One of the most genuine "Good Hearted" people I ever met and a real craftsman at his trade that worked just as hard on a factory workers shoes as he would have the President's of the company. The monetary value of something was of no interest but his concern was in treating customers like the friends they were to him. Still have a hand saw with a frontier scene painted on it he gave our family as he wanted simply to return a favor, what a wonderful human being.

To the family,
I feel your loss, Jason was a great friend. He helped me with many projects as he was very skilled in his cobber works. He never let me down. A great human being and very deeply missed by
me and the town of Elkin. Jason was a very big part of Elkin and we will forever miss his smiling face and his master cobbler works!!! God bless you all and may you find peace in God's grace. I'm sure Jason is now God's #1 cobbler. A wonderful human being that will be very missed!
