Charlene was born Feb. 19, 1941, in Lamont, Mo. At the age of 15, she married the love of her life, Frank (Chuck) Miller. Charlene is survived by her husband, Chuck; mother-in-law, Estella Hyde; daughters Kathleen Cothrun, Sherri (Dan) Johnson, and Shelli (John) Cash; nine grandchildren: Frank Miller, Nichole (Matt) Simpkins, Anna Cothrun, Robert (Melissa) Cash, Richard Cothrun, Jason Cash, Rebecca (Anthony) Russell, and Emilie O'Lexey; and three great-grandsons: Kyler, Joseph and Aceyn John and was expecting a great-granddaughter any day.
Very special thanks to our aunt, Betty Miller, for all the help!

Well it has been a year and it still seems like just yesturday..It is tough to not be able to just call and tell you every thing going on.. It is so very hard to know that I will not be able to hear you when I ask for your advise. I know they say it gets easier...I don't see how you were our ROCK...I miss and love you Mom..

Well it's been 6 months since my mama left me I guess you do not really know what you love and miss until it's gone.. Boy do I miss her. It may be 6 months, but it feels like it was just yesterday. It's hard when I call someone, everyday twice a day, and now when I want to pick up the phone to tell her something I can't. Telling her where I'm at or where I am going, I love you, or I miss you, or what her Great-Grandson came up with to say, or something funny he did.. of all the people she would have love to hear it. She sure loved all her Grandkids and Great-Grandkids, and mostly her Girls. And I don't know one person who didn't love her. I sure did-do-always will. And I miss her more everyday..I love you Mama.. Your Baby xoxox

I guess it is my turn...Yesturday would have been Mom & Dad's 50th Wedding Anniversary.. as every year I was able to spend it with them and would not have changed it for the world.. but this year was just not the same..We miss Mom more than anything.. It seems as if we should be feelin comfortable with the loss as time has gone by...I never thought I would ever have to be with out her here to go to for an ear when I wanted advise..Or to pick up the phone and tell her a little bit of gossip..I love and miss my Mom I'm glad I was able to be there for her at her end.. her fighting for JUST ONE MORE DAY!!! as she often asked for.. She is greatly missed...

I just recently got my computer back up & running the first thing I did was to come in here & read what people had to say to my Mom & about my Mom, it gives me great pleasure to know that people like you took out the time as well as the consideration from their busy lives in order to share with others thoughts & feelings that you have or had towards my Mom, along with sending all of us your words of condolences during our time of sorrow I thank all of you for that & I thank all of you for caring, my Mom was a great woman with a big heart of gold & I will always miss her deeply, one of the things that I will always remember is how much she loved the poems i'd write & how she would always ask me to write a poem for different occasions to people she knew around her, knowing that i've written a poem just for her & i'd like to share it with all of you & again thank-you all for all the kindness & support you've given to my family & I during this time.

MY GREATEST GIFT

I STILL MISS YOU MY MOM WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY

IT'S BEEN OVER A MONTH
SINCE GOD TOOK YOU AWAY

I STILL REACH FOR THE PHONE
JUST TO HEAR YOUR SWEET VOICE

THEN I REMEMBER YOUR GONE NOW
BUT NOT BY OUR CHOICE

I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU HAD TO DIE
I GUESS GOD HAD HIS REASONS

ALL I KNOW IS YOUR GONE FROM US NOW
AND RIGHT AT THE WORST OF ALL SEASONS

OCTOBER IS CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
SO I HAVE TO HEAR ABOUT IT EVERYWHERE

I CRY ALL DAY AND TO SLEEP AT NIGHT
BECAUSE DUE TO THE CANCER YOU WON'T BE THERE

YOU WON'T BE THERE IN NOVEMBER ON THANKSGIVING DAY

WHEN WE SIT DOWN FOR DINNER AND GIVE THANKS WHEN WE PRAY

CHRISTMAS IN DECEMBER WON'T BE AS GREAT AS IT SHOULD

SINCE GOD HAS TAKEN MY GREATEST GIFT MY MOM'S LOVE GONE NOW FOR GOOD

YOU WON'T BE THERE IN JANUARY TO CELEBRATE AN ANNIVERSARY OF FIFTY YEARS

OUR DAD IS LEFT ALONE NOW HE'LL SHED HIS OWN SPECIAL TEARS

SINCE YOU WON'T BE THERE IN FEBUARY WHEN YOU TURN SIXTY-SEVEN

WE'LL HAVE TO SAY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU WHEN WE PRAY THAT NIGHT TO HEAVEN

YOU WON'T BE THERE IN MARCH, APRIL, MAY, JUNE OR JULY

NOT EVEN THE MONTH OF AUGUST BUT YOU'LL STILL BE MISSED AND THIS IS WHY

THROUGH ALL THE FOUR SEASONS EACH MONTH, EACH WEEK EACH DAY

YOU WERE THE BEST OF EVERYTHING BY YOUR WARM,LOVING AND UNFORGETTABLE WAY

When I was just a boy I remember right before I would go to sleep my mom would come and tuck me in and I would say...
Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the lord my soul to keep, If I should die before I wake, I pray the lord my soul to take. God bless Mom, Dad and Sis, Aunt Char Uncle Chuck and the girls, grandma and grandpa. AMEN
I have nothing but great memories of growing up with my Aunt Char and whether its a prayer that i said every night or a trip to Lamoille Canyon with everyone or just going to the park to play and eat, these memories will never leave and I am so fortunate to have the love, care, compassion and knowledge of my Aunt and the rest of the family. She will be missed greatly and I know she is looking over all who she loved and cared for.
"A memory is a keepsake of time that lives forever in the heart. May your treasured memories bring solace during this time of loss.

With all the love I can give from such a far distance.... Scooter

Charlene Miller: I drove by your home a couple weeks ago and thought something was missing, now I know. And yesterday I saw her van coming out of the pharmacy and wondered why she wasn't driving. Now I know. I have just seen this, in searching for another friend who recently passed away. I worked with Rich at the phone co., and you all know me, I have been around for years. Last worked at the hospital, on the switchboard. Next time I see you, Chuck, I will make a point to hug you. I am the hugger of the town! If you need a jar of fresh jam, please reply, I have plenty. A pie for the holidays could be in order too. My best and love to all of you and your families. She will be missed, the license plate Ol Hon worn well. Betsy

Dear Char,

We will miss you so much. Your patio was a place of friendship, love, good conversation and just a comfortable place to be. We really can't remember life without you. You always had such good advice and friendship when the kids were little and times were hard on a firefighter's wages. Your welcoming smile, even when you were so sick was still there! Take care Charlene we love you and we'll miss you so much! Charlie, Shelli, Kathy, Sherri and my friend Anna, we are so saddened by your loss. God bless and keep you!

To The Miller Family,

I was so sorry to hear that Aunt Char had passed away a lot of my childhood i couldnt wait for you and your family to come home to Lamonte. I looked Forward to playing frisbee with you Uncle Chuck and to visit with Aunt Char late nights during the summer. I know she is not suffering anymore and is in a much better and saffer place. I do have to start watching what im doing a little closer as i have no doubt she will be watching over us all very close.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

My aunt was a very special person. An friend to most and angel to others. She helped so many people that its a known fact she has reserved a spot in heaven. Thou she has past her spirit and love for life will live on in all of us. We all just gained another guardian angel and heaven just got alittle brighter. Me and Drew will miss you with all of our hearts but you will still be in our thoughts. We love you. Our love goes out to the rest of our family too we love you all.. and will be talking to you soon.
