BERTHA DAVIDOFF Obituary

Bertha Bisman Davidoff passed away on November 24, 2014, at age 99. She was born in Kansas City, MO, on June 4, 1915, to Joseph Hyman Bisman and Gussie Suskin Bisman. On October 23, 1937, she married her life's love, Fred Davidoff, and they spent 49 1/2 years in love and adventure before his passing in 1987. She made it clear her family came first, yet she took joy in working with Fred in grocery stores in Kansas City; Houston; Silverbell, AZ; and El Paso. They shared a good head for business and in semi-retirement partnered as successful real estate agents for the Holder Company. Bert will be remembered for her joy in living, love of people, positive outlook, attitude that life was to be lived, understanding of whatever life brought, courage and determination in the face of challenges, and acceptance of what couldn't be changed. She is survived by daughter Joyce Davidoff; son Robert Davidoff; grandchildren Jay Mann, Richard Mann, David Davidoff, Saili Kline, Sasha Davidoff, Yosef Davidoff, and Miriam Davidoff; by sisters-in-law Frances Bromberg and Dorothy Davidoff; by numerous nieces, nephews, great- and great-great nieces and nephews; and many dear and special friends. She is pre-deceased by siblings Roy Bisman (Sally), Art Bisman (Rose), Rose Pittel (Sherman), and Isadore Bisman (Ida), She is also predeceased by brothers- and sisters-in-law Jake Davidoff (Sadie), David Davidoff (Rose), Dorothy Croft (Jake), Sophie Stolbun (Hy), Charles Davidoff, and William Bromberg. Very special, heartfelt thanks to caregivers Marta Davis and Olivia Justo for their dedication, skill and kindness.

So sorry to learn this sad news, which must be tempered by the fact she lived such a long, beautiful life, raised wonderful children, and had the privilege of knowing grandchildren as well. She was indeed a very special lady with a big heart and always an interest in others. She will be missed! May her memory ever be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
