Hello to the Farley and Wilson family members. Carole Ann and I communicated about the Wilson family when we were able to determine our Wilson's were from the same family. Our Christmas letter was returned by USPS last week and now I understand why. She did a lot for the Wilson family genealogy. I spoke of her last Saturday in a presentation I made in Florida. I did not know of Carole Anne's passing until this morning.

Michelle and Matthew and Family,
I hope you both know how very special your Mom was to me. I will always remember her for her wisdom, artistry and abundant warmth. She invited me into her family and made me a part of her goodness - she never ran-out of things to share. Carole Ann left a mark on all of us - how lucky we were to be blessed with here as a friend.

I learned so much from you, just listening to you and Milo solving the world's poblems at the kitchen table and taking in all the great logical to the point advice you gave out. Laughing out loud til our tummies hurt and watching movies all night long. There were no off limit subjects and the countless conversations we had will be missed. Remember when you helped me pack to go and see Michelle in her first year of college, I remember you just wanted to make sure she was safe and happy. You were my greatest audience, laughing at my silly stories. You never sweated the little stuff, even if the truck was wrecked or a window broke, you just placed your hands on your hips, got on the phone and handled it all. If a party needed to be thrown, you were the first to agree and just wanted everyone to enjoy.
Most of all you believed in me and loved Jeremy just the way he was. You always made sure to buy time for him to have more time to swing before I could take him home.
Your strength I will always admire and your friendship I will always have with me.

"You can not judge a biography by its length; we must judge it by the richness of its content. Sometimes the 'unfinished' symphonies are the most beautiful." – Victor Frankyl
So much life was lived in the time we had her, there are an abundance of stories and two amazing children (as well as 3 precious grandchildren) that will be a beautiful legacy to who Carole Ann Farley was and still is. Michelle thank you for sharing your absolutely amazing momma with me. You know the words of my heart where she is concerned.

Matt,
I know it has been a while since we spoke. Definitely too long. I am truly sorry that it takes times like these to reach out to each other.
I will always treasure the fond memories of the hospitality I always felt at your mom's house; on those nights we ate her fabulous dinners, enjoyed her sense of humor and easy-going nature. It really meant a lot to a college student away from home.
I am truly sorry for your loss, my friend. Take care.
