CHRISTY ALLEN-LEE Obituary

Christy Diaz Allen-Lee was born in El Paso November 10, 1971 and died in Richmond, CA on October 10, 2017. Survivors are her parents, Leslie Allen of Sausalito, CA, and Jesus "Chuy" Diaz of El Paso; her brother Robert Diaz; her children, son Colby Allen Nelson (17) and her daughters Reese Harper Nelson (15) and Lola Parker Rojas (nearly 2). Also left behind is Steven Rojas, who Christy called the love of her life. Other surviving family members are her grandparents, Andra and Gary Crossland; uncles Craig Matthews (Hilda), Dr. Victor Diaz (Susan), and Dr. Stephen Harper (Minnie); aunts Amanda Crossland, Martha Baker, Patricia Davila (Jesse), and Catherine Brady (Pat); as well as cousins Andy and Brittany Matthews, Michael Harper (Angie), Sharon Edmonds (Darryl), Maridith Stockmeyer (Juan), Spencer and Trent Edmonds, Erin and Brady Stockmeyer, Christian, Ethan and Jackson Harper, Laura, Nicholas, Anthony and Joseph Diaz, Sally, Angela and Jesse Davila, Melissa Ewart, Laura and Jason Baker, Flavia Davis, Adria Lee, and Robert Revilla. A favorite cousin, Stephen Harper, died many years ago. Christy recently lost two of her best friends, her grandmother, Martha Barraza, and great-grandmother, Edith Harper, both of El Paso. Christy is also survived by countless dear and lifelong friends. Christy lived mostly in Mill Valley, CA, but she had also lived in San Diego, Los Angeles, Phoenix and El Paso. She attended Tamalpais High School, College of Marin, and UTEP. Christy was a talented actress and a gifted writer, whose brilliant mind, quick wit, sharp sense of humor, and gorgeous smile were magnetic and unforgettable. Her family and friends will celebrate her birthday and life on November 13, 2017 in Sausalito, CA. The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Christy be made to a college fund for her three minor children. Because Christy was not able to finish college, it was extremely important to her that her children be able to do so. A fund has been established at GoFundMe under the name "Christy-Allen-Kids-to-College."

I'm so sorry to hear of your loved and deepest condolences are extended to you. Something that's helped me through the death of loved ones is to reflect on 1 Corinthians 15:26.
