I was saddened to find Frank's obituary online! Frank and I grew up together in McCook, Nebraska where we spent lots of time playing at the river and getting into trouble with our BB guns. I helped put Frank on the train for boot camp the night of our high school graduation. I only saw him one more time in 1965 or 66 when he came home on leave. After that I lost track and always wondered where he ended up. Over the years I tried a few times to locate Frank and was finally successful in June of this year. I got one email from Frank and sent a reply hoping we could catch up and maybe even meet up in Tacoma where one of his daughters was moving. I never heard from Frank again after that first email. I thought maybe he wasn't interested in renewing our friendship after all those years. This morning I checked and found his obituary. Now I wish I had called and talked to Frank instead of relying on email. If you are reading this don't wait to make a call or talk to an old friend. You may never get the chance again.

I came to the place of my birth, and cried, "The friends of my youth, where are they?" And echo answered, "Where are they?" (an old Arab saying)

I remember the first time Frank introduced us all to Kim and how proud he was. Alda was so happy for him. He was a very kind person. I always loved his smile and laugh. He was very proud of his family and loved his sister.

My sincerest condolences go out to Kim, Lisa, Jessie and family of Frank. I am saddened to hear the news of Frank's passing. I lived a couple of houses down from the Wulff's in El Paso as a child. I have some great memories of Frank, especially one when the Wulff's had a garage sale and my dad brought a door over to sell. When the garage sale was over, Frank brought the door back to us and my dad made a remark about how he was surprised that the door wasn't sold and Frank quick-wittedly said, "Well someone offered to give $20 for it (it was $10) and I told 'em no we'll only take $10 and they walked off." I found that hilarious (I was 12 at the time). Also, I admired how Frank held Lisa and Jessie accountable for chores and responsibilities around the house (seeing Lisa or Jessie walking the dogs daily and so forth) because it is obvious that he and Kim raised two very responsible adults. Rest In Peace Frank.

My condolences to Nancy, Kim, Lisa, Jessie and Jessie's family on the passing of your brother, husband, father and grandfather. I only knew Frank through stories and pictures from Nancy; it was quite obvious that he loved all of "his girls" and those cute grandbabies! I hope you all find comfort in that he is at peace now, with no more pain or suffering. You will see him again, in a more joyous time.

In the Army the most fitting tribute is just he was a good man. I will miss him

Dad,
Although we haven't always seen eye to eye on how I should lead my life, you've always been there to support me in not only my successes, but my failures. I'm going to miss our Sunday chats and your rantings on politics. I love you dad, and just know that you made an impact in at least one life.

Well Sarge, it was a good ride for the class of May 1987. Most of us are retired or gone now and a few remain but it was a great ride along with the late great Sheriff Leo Samaniego. The best boss anyone could ever have! Sad to hear of your passing as I enjoyed some very good times and discussions with you Partner! It was good to see you a few months back out at Walmart my only regret being that we never shared that Steak dinner that we discussed. Yet I know that you were tickled "remember your smirk" when I mentioned that I now drive a bus, a job you thought about doing after your military retirement. Funny how things work out. I know that there are many at the Sheriff's Department with heavy hearts at this time because although at times you may have seemed grumpy you were a great person, friend, leader, husband and father. Rest in Peace my friend.

How sad I was to hear of Frank’s passing yet so comforted to know that he is finally at peace. Although I only met Frank once many years ago his love for family was so evident in the stories and many photos of family gatherings shared with me through Nancy. I especially loved seeing the photos of Frank with Aiden and Kaylee snuggled up close to him. He was so proud of his kids! His love of family was so evident last June as he was determined to join you, Jessie, Aiden, Kaylee and Nancy in Georgia to celebrate his son in law, Shawn becoming a Lieutenant in the United States Army.

Special memories of these loving times will remain in your hearts… and bring a smile to you when you need it most. I’m sure he’s in heaven now smiling down on all of you, knowing that his spirit lives on in some very special people!

Jessie, Hans and I are sad for you and your family on the passing of your Dad. I am so gald that you were able to spend these last few weeks at home with your parents. Just like Pete, I know your Dad was happy to have Aiden and Kaylee there with him. The suffering has ended and he is now at rest. Joanie and Hans Clahsen, Sierra Vista, AZ

Frank, it has been over 20 years years since we graduated from the Sheriffs Academy together and over 3 years since we last worked together but my memories are still vivid and alive. Thanks for being my friend. I'll miss ya.

Sgt, I was sadden to hear of your passing...when I found out I cried but then I also laughed, remembering you and the special way you should me how much you cared about me. Some people might have mistaken your personality by thinking you were mean and grumply, but actually you were very loving and caring. You were a very important person, supervisor in my Law Enforcement Career, but more than that you were a good friend and a great listener. I am proud to say that I too had the privilege of being part of the "WULFF PACK" you will be greatly missed but never forgotted... Luci Silva
