My deepest sympathies to the Stockmeyer family. Mr. Stockmeyer showed great kindness to me, a newcomer, and gave me my first job in El Paso. It was at Pistolero's that I met many wonderful people and became acquainted with the west side of El Paso.

Juan and Anna, I have wonderful memories of you and your family and will definitely grieve with you in your recent loss. May the Lord bless you and give you strenght and comfort, in this time of sorrow.

Respectfully,

Dear Barbara and all my Stockmeyer cousins, I am so sorry to hear about Juan's passing. I only met Juan once, but admired his style and sense of humor...and appreciated that he took the chance to look us up in the New Orleans phone book to track us down! I wish I still had a copy of his book.....I think it was "How to Build a Ranch".....I loved it!
I love that the two arms of the Stockmeyer family have repeated so many of the 'given' names.....John & Juan, Carl & Karl & Karla, Frederick & Frederika, Ann & Anna, and Brady (My two children are Elizabeth Brady and Thomas Frederick).
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I know that Juan's passing leaves a big void in your lives, but he also leaves a huge legacy and I hope that brings you comfort.
With deepest Sympathy;
Your Cousin,
Cade Stockmeyer Beach

The huge crowd which gathered at this sad time reflects not only a love for Juan, but for your entire family. He leaves a legacy of what friends and family are all about...and I count myself fortunate to be in your circle. I will miss his irreverent humor but will smile as I remember him. God be with all of you as you adjust to a life without our beloved Juanito. My family joins me in this expression of sympathy. Much love, Margaret

Uncle Juan- thank you for being the best uncle and godfather to me. I love you.

You were an amazing storyteller; that is what I will miss the most. The laughs you brought during the good times were a certainty but the laughs you could bring during the worst times were what made you extraordinary. You always saw the beauty and hilarity in everything. I learned from you never to underestimate the value of fun and never to take life too seriously.

Our family will never be the same without you. We love you.
