Christie Cowan Obituary
Christie was born July 7, 1966, in Claremore, Okla., to Jim Green and wife Wilma Jane, nee Floyd. Christie received her education in Union and graduated from Union High School in 1984. She went on to attend Deaconess Nursing School, and later received her master's degree in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing. She was united in marriage to Curtis Cowan May 30, 2009, at Hermann Hill in Hermann. Christie and her husband, Curtis, owned and operated Loving Labradors out of their home. She also enjoyed bowling, attending paint 'n sips, fishing and Black Friday shopping. To say that Christie enjoyed scrapbooking would be an understatement, as she loved scrapbooking and attending scrapbooking conventions with her sister, Jana. She also was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Washington.
Christie is survived by her husband, Curtis Cowan, Gerald; two sons, Jake Gildehaus and wife Whitney, New Haven, and Wade Gildehaus, Stony Hill; one daughter, Brittany Gildehaus and significant other Jonathan Main, New Haven; four grandchildren, Grace, Jace, Bryant and Allyson; her parents, Jim and Jane Green, Neosho; four sisters, Lisa Rohrbough and husband Brian, Chelsea, Okla., Julie Green and significant other Jennifer Bobski, Joplin, Jana Roper, Seneca, and Heather Ortiz, San Antonio, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Deanna Colombo and husband Joe, and Pam Mercer, all of Union; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
A memorial service was held Friday, Dec. 21, at 7 p.m. at Oltmann Funeral Home, Washington.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or Faith Baptist Church, Washington.
The Cowan family was served by Oltmann Funeral Home, Washington.

So Sorry to hear about the loss of this beautiful lady. I am a former nursing student. Christie was an incredible influence on me in my career after graduation. She will be missed very much.
