Joshua N. Garrett

1981 - 2023

Joshua Nathan Garrett, 41, St. Clair, known to all as Josh, departed this life Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023, in Creve Coeur.

Josh was born Oct. 15, 1981, in St. Louis, son of Christopher Eugene Garrett and wife Tammy Jean, nee Willis.

Josh was a Christian of the Catholic faith and member of St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair, and Knights of Columbus Council 4667, also in St. Clair. He was a carpenter and millwright by trade. During his working career, he was employed by Acme Constructors where he served as a foreman and project manager. Josh was a proud member of Carpenters Local 92 in St. Louis.

He loved going to deer camp, riding his Ranger and being on the river. He also loved singing karaoke, even if there wasn't a machine, and working on his vehicles. Josh enjoyed having parties and spending time with family and friends. What meant most to him though was time spent with his family. Although he had no children of his own, he loved his nieces and nephews as if they were his own. The love they shared and many precious memories they created will never be forgotten.

Josh is survived by his parents, Christopher and Tammy Garrett; his brothers, Justin Garrett and wife Nickie, Foristell, and Jason Garrett and wife Heather, Union; his grandparents, Joyce Willis, St. Clair, and Gene Garrett and wife Melody, Granite City, Illinois; nieces and nephews, Hunter, Gage and Charleigh Garrett, all of Foristell, Logan, Gus and Annabel Garrett, all of Union; aunts; uncles; great-aunts and -uncles; cousins; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don Willis and Alma Voss.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, and after 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eric Kunz officiating.

Interment will be in Midlawn Memorial Gardens, Union.
