Aunt Lena- You were truly loved and will be deeply missed. Everyone remembers sitting in front of the store with you and grandma, and who can forget Thanksgiving. God bless.

Although I did not see her as much as I would have like to, she will always have a special place in my heart. The memories I have of all the many days and nights sitting on the steps and just laughing and talking will be with me forever--know that she was loved by many and will never be forgotten--Rest in peace now Lena.

My sympathy goes out to the Lucchetti family. I remember going to Lena's store and buying penny candy after school. I remember Lena and her mom sitting out front on warm days.

I want to express my heartfelt sympathy for your loss. I grew up in the neighborhood and spent many happy hours at Luchetti's store picking out candy with my friends. Although I was grown when the store closed, it felt like the end of an era. It was odd to go by and not see "Grama" sitting outside talking to the kids. Your family is obviously an Erie fixture and we appreciate all of you. Peace.

Dear Renee, Joe, Alessia & family,
I'm sure you all feel a sense of emptiness inside and a heavy heart too. But behind your warm tears, you'll find comfort in seeing so many friends and neighbors as they pay their respects to a loving friend who has gently touched their hearts in some way. Take care.

To the Lucchetti family....please accept my sympathy in the loss of Lena. I visited Lucchetti's store on a daily basis growing up in the neighbourhood and Lena (and "Grandma") were always there and ready to serve! I loved the banana popsicles and she would let us buy "half" as we only had pennies to spend. God Bless her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all, Lena will always be a part of my childhood memories.

To the Lucchetti family,
Please accept the comfort of all those who knew and loved Mrs. Lena. We share in your sadness at this time. Many a morning I spent in conversation with Mrs. Lucchetti while making a decision of what "penny candy" I could afford. I lived in the neighborhood for a few years and wish to express that she was a special person now gone to be with the Lord.

To the Luchcetti family,
Please find comfort in knowing that those who knew Lena, share in your saddness.

I feel like I have lost one of my own family. Your mother and grandmother used to take good care of me every day after school when I came by for my orange soda and a pretzel stick.

She would always let me slide or give me an extra stick if I was short of the dime I needed.

She was one of the best people I knew while growing up in the neighborhood, and I learned valuable lessons from watching her people skills and work ethic.

I will never forget the memories

One of my best childhood memories was stopping on Saturday morning after catechism class at Sacred Heart to buy penny candy; mint juleps were 2 for a penny, and I could get spearmint licorice! It was a while ago (I am 55 now), but I remember how patient Mrs. Lucchetti was while I made my BIG decisions! God bless you all!

To the Lucchetti Family,
My prayers and thoughts go out to all of you at this time of suffering. Remember the good times and she will always be in your hearts. God Bless and take care, Leigh Guenther
