Brian Sharpe Obituary

Brian Sharpe, age 51, of Cambridge Springs and Chilhowie, Va., passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. He was born on May 19, 1965.

Brian was a decorated U.S. Marine Veteran and served at 29 Palms and in Desert Storm. He was an avid gardener known as "The Kranky Yankee" at his farmers markets in Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Huegel Sharpe, and a grandson, Robert Alexander Aker.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn Dority Sharpe; children Brianna, Alyssa, Jenna, Coty, and Ryan; his father, Thomas Sharpe; his sisters, Kim Zeigler (Brad), Kathy Jakubowski (Anthony), and brothers Bob Sharpe (Jamie), and Steve Petrick; mother- and father-in-law Richard and Shirley Dority, sister-in-law Lea Dority Meadows; eight grandchildren and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

The family held a private service.
