Justin M. Fitch, age 32, of Erie, died on Friday, May 21, 2021 at his residence after a long battle with addiction.

He was born in Erie, on February 1, 1989, a son of Matthew J. and Mary Frankiewicz Fitch.

Justin graduated from Iroquois High School in 2007 and went on to work many jobs in the food industry. He enjoyed playing basketball with his daughters and also enjoyed cooking. Justin's number one love was his daughters, and we will forever cherish the moments he spent with them.

Justin was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bernard Fitch; his maternal grandmother, Bernadine Hodubski Frankiewicz; his maternal grandfather, Daniel Frankiewicz; his maternal step-grandmother, Karen Kozlowski Frankiewicz; and his uncle Charles R. Frankiewicz.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his two daughters, Rhea Ann and Isabellah Jane Fitch; his sister, Jenna Maynard and her husband, Jeff, of Harborcreek; his two nieces, Joan and Daisy Maynard; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd.

Justin, I did not know you, I never met you but I know your parents and your family well. They are a special group of people who will miss you very much. The answer to why must be that heaven really needed you and your family needs you to be their angel now. God bless the Fitch family. I am so so sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have a lot of fond memories growing up and playing sports with Justin at North East. We would spend hours walking/playing through the creek and staying up all night watching our favorite movie Dumb and Dumber. Rest in Peace.

This is such a tragic loss. I have so many memories growing up Justin and my brother playing little league together. I'm so glad I was able to see him again at Jenna's wedding. My heart breaks for you all. The darkness of addiction is evil, and it breaks my heart that it took another life, especially this one. I love you guys!❤
