Marian M. Reade-Schiavone, age 85, of Millcreek Township, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 11, 2013, surrounded by her loving family, at UPMC Hamot. She was born on May 21, 1927 in North East, Pa., the daughter of the late, George Raymond and Alice Gibbs. She was a lifelong Erie area resident. Just received this information while here in Mexico. Marian was a dear friend who I unfortunately lost contact with after moving to Arizona in 1969. She was a top notch mold polisher for our company Twinbrook Tool in Wesleyville, Pa. Memories remain of her wonderful stories about her family and her boys! Rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of meeting Marian while employed at The Regency. Even at times when she wasn't 100 percent Marian (and Max) always manage to bring s smile to my face. She was definitely one of the most kind, loving residents we had. I know she is missed by all of us there. Prayers to the family in their time of need. May God bless you.

Marian was the example to all of us on how to live a life of grace. A loving person, putting other's needs first; a perfect example of motherhood,
starting when she became the "mother" to her younger siblings during Marian's own teen years because their mother was sick for years. She faced life with determination and smiles, no matter what life threw into her path. She passed all of her qualities on to her sweet little sister, her best friend,Joy. I will miss this special cousin dearly. To know her was to love her, to be related was such a blessing.
Love to all of her family.
