Michael Boros Obituary
Michael J. Boros, age 62, of Millcreek Twp., passed away Thursday December 24, 2015, at Millcreek Community Hospital. He was born in Erie on January 12, 1953, the son of the late Mike and Margaret (Swanseger) Boros.
Mike was a graduate of Tech Memorial High School class of 1970. He worked as a Tool Maker at Swanson Erie, Assembly Machines, Turain Automation, Automation Devices, and most recently retired from GE Truck 18. He is a past member of the McKean Hose Co., for 25 years where he served as Assistant Chief.
Mike loved football and hockey and was a huge Steeler and Sabres Fan, but most especially he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his nephew Marc Smith.
Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Bernice "Bunnie" (Fuller) Boros, his son, Jonathan Boros and his wife Laura, grandson Jameson Boros, three sisters Mary Smith and her fiancé, Norm Tousey, Karen Fijal and her husband Jerry, Rosanne Otteni and her husband Patrick, all of Erie, one sister-in-law Cindy Graham and her husband Russell, of Meadville. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Friends are invited to call at the Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th St. at Greengarden Blvd. on Monday from 3 until 7 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, 8880 West Main St. McKean. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorials may be made to McKean Hose Co., 5011 N. Main St. McKean, PA 16426.
