Hanover
Dorothy M. Dutterer, 94, of Hanover, Pa., entered peacefully into God's eternal care, Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Homewood at Plum Creek, Hanover, Pa.
Born December 2, 1921, in Westminster, Md., she was the daughter of the late James R. and Mary E. (Burgoon) Bailey. She was the loving wife of the late John T. Dutterer who died in 1988.
Dorothy was a graduate of Westminster High School.
Mrs. Dutterer was a lifelong member of St. Mary's United Church of Christ of (Silver Run), Westminster, Md.
Dorothy is survived by her children, M. Rebecca Leister and her husband Edward of Westminster, Md., Thomas E. Dutterer of Littlestown, Pa., Robert W. Dutterer and his wife Mona of Spring Grove, Pa., Neal B. Dutterer and longtime companion Sandy Bridges of Hanover, Pa.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many who consider her their grandmother, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Bailey; her sisters, Margaret Lippy and Edna Sprinkle.
Funeral services to celebrate and remember Dorothy's life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St. Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Eric Marsteller officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's United Church of Christ Cemetery, (Silver Run), Westminster, Md. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the funeral home and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy's memory to the charity of your choice.
