Angela Fairbrother Obituary
Angie was born Dec. 21, 1943, in Batavia, a daughter of Angelo and Viola (Kemp) Yamonaco. She was a graduate of Dansville Central School and the Continental School of Beauty in Rochester. She married Michael Fairbrother on July 28, 1962; he survives. She was a hairdresser in the Wayland area for over 31 years.
She was a former member of the Wayland Fire Dept. Women's Auxiliary and the Wayland American Legion Women's Auxiliary. She was one of the original members of the Wayland Redskin Youth Football organization; and she was instrumental in the forming of Wayland Cinderella Softball.
She enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, crocheting, crafts, BINGO, both playing and working for it. She was a member of a women's card club with her dear friends; also she enjoyed having special Halloween parties for her grandchildren and friends, but most of all she loved spending time with all of her grandchildren and attending all of their accomplishments.
"Gert" is survived by her husband of 51 years, Mike; her children, Lori (Don) Carmen, Terry (Julie) Fairbrother and Tom Fairbrother (Kim Canute); 6 grandchildren, Steffen Carmen, Colin Carmen, Kyle Carmen (fiance' Tiana Cheasman), Drew Fairbrother, Dana Fairbrother (Matt Ryan) and Hannah Fairbrother; sisters, Irene (Don) Henchen and Linda (Roy) Frasier; sister-in-law, Bonnie Nicholson; aunts and uncles, Bert Flint, Richard and Harriet Kemp, Jerry Algiers and Aunt Peg; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Feb. 17, 2014, at the Walter E. Baird & Sons Funeral Home, 300 West Naples St., Wayland, where a memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Burial will be in the Village Cemetery, Wayland.
Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Those who wish to light a memory candle for "Gert" may do so at www.bairdfuneralhomes.com.

Just heard that Angie had passed. I am so very sorry. I have many good memories of laughter shared while she was trying to make me beautiful. My sincerest condolences to all of you. Her wonderful laughter and positive outlook on life will be missed by so many. May God bless Angie and may he bless all who loved her and will miss her. Say her name every day--that way she will continue to live.

Please accept my condolences for the passing of your very dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a very dear member of the Class of 62 from Dansville Central School. We always enjoyed her presence at our class reunions. She will be missed.
