Bertha Morgan Obituary
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2011 in the Walker-Brown Chapel with Rev. Curt Mead and Rev. Debbie Doherty officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.
Bertha May Morgan was born April 12, 1931 in Pruneville, OK to William Montgomery and Bertha Pearl (Baehner) Lemon. Bertha had a strong love for her family and enjoyed going to church. Her schnauzers were her pride and joy.
Bertha is survived by her sister, Virginia Byrd of Bartlesville. Four daughters; Cheryl Vulgamore of Oklahoma City, LaDonna Saxton of Bartlesville, Lena Wahnee of Tulsa and Kristi Jo Morgan of Peru, KS. One son, Tyler Morgan of Bartlesville. She was blessed with eight grandchildren; Jacquie, Justin, Carrine, Lynsey, Dustin, Morgan, Kelsie, Dillon and nine great-grandchildren along with a host of family and friends.
Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Jack Morgan, brothers; Billy Paul, Harvey Elsworth, William Hal and Charles Lemon, William Terrell, Arthur Wesley, Ray Clifford, Dallas Junior and Harold Walton Banks. Sisters; Almeda Banks Morgan, Opal Louise Lemon Fugate, Emma Belle Lemon Doherty and sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Lemon

Mother there is never a day that I don't think of you! With the holidays approaching memories of how important being all together and having a feast as only you cooked! You'd be surprised that I carry on that tradition all but the carrot cake! So many things I do now is because you did them. Peach tea Roosters and chickens in my kitchen decorating graves and etc etc. You were absolutely the rock of the family. I'm so proud to be your daughter! Miss you! Love you! Your #2 daughter LaDonna

Wow, I had no idea the day you left us here on earth was nearing. I shared a memory with Chels today & a good lesson learned from the way you raised your grandchildren. You are still touching lives just by the way you lived. xo

Bertha was an amazingly strong woman. I will always hold great respect for her and the way she always stood up to adversity. She was a rock for many children not just her own. She cared selflessly for Jack and taught the kids in her care to do the same creating something in them that most people do not possess. I loved and admired her from the day I meant her over 20 yrs ago. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten by everyone who ever had the priviledge to know her! Hugs to you Tyler, Lindsey, Dustin, Morgan & Corrine!

Bertha, you are an awesome woman! I am so grateful to you being in my life. I have cried my tears for you. You are in a happy place now. You are with Jack and you both are watching your girls and grandkids together. Bertha, you will always have a place in my heart. I love you very much!!!!

Mom, you and Dad were the greatest parents any child could ask for. You stood by each and everyone of us through thick and thin, right or wrong and never stopped loving us for one second.
