MARY GREEN Obituary

Mary Iona Green, 90, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in the Pawhuska Nursing Home.
Mary was born February 21, 1921 in Wichita Falls, Texas, the daughter of William Oscar and Iona Gertrude (Benson) Renfrow.
On October 25, 1941, she married Alvin Green. He preceded her in death March 22, 1998.
Through the years, Mary worked in many vocations. She was a telephone operator, worked at the Sequoyah Carpet Mill, sewed at the Pawhuska Tent Factory and was a dispatcher at the Pawhuska Police Department.
During World War II, she even worked at McDonnell Douglas building aircraft. Most of all, she was always available to take care of her kids and grandkids.
Surviving are: Two sons: Bob Green and wife, Pat; Fred Green; Her grandchildren: Kim Green Cass and husband, Newton; Dustin Green; Thad Green and wife, Mandy; Scott Green and wife, Jennifer; and Stacy Jackson; Great grandchildren: Vin and Vada Cass; Emma Green; Brayden, Maggie and Trip Green; Shay Green and wife, Sarah; Brandy Green; Addison Vaught and Shyanne Jackson; One great-great granddaughter: Sophie Green; And a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services will were held Friday, December 30, 2:00 p.m., in the Pawhuska City Cemetery. Rev. Mark Buchanan will officiate. Interment will follow.
McCartney's Johnson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
