Terry Sharpton Obituary

Terry Allen Sharpton, beloved brother, husband and father, passed away at his Colorado Springs, CO home on January 4th, 2015.
He was a native of Bartlesville, OK, born on 01 Mar 1956, and was the only son of Lebert Samuel Sharpton and wife Shirley Alberta Reynolds.
Terry graduated from Bartlesville College High School in 1974. After graduation, he worked for TRW/Reda Pump in Bartlesville. After moving to Colorado Springs, he worked for Data General, and then Schage Lock/Ingersoll Rand, where he was a Logistics Manager. Always a sociable fellow, he could strike up a conversion with almost anyone about anything. When not at work, Terry enjoyed golf, softball, shooting pool, and a friendly game of poker. His hobbies included collecting and running HO-scale model trains, and restoring old cars. He had been working on restoring his 1956 Chevy Sedan Delivery before his health began to fail him.
Terry leaves behind his wife of 23 years, Catherine E. Woodham and three beautiful children: Sheree N. Ashlock and her husband Larry, of Oklahoma, and Jacob-Allen W. Sharpton and Shelby-Ann M. Sharpton, both born and raised in Colorado Springs, Co. His sisters are Nancy S. Parker and LaKita S. Tanner, who, along with LaKita's husband, Maynard, are all from Bartlesville, OK. His oldest sister, Debra G. Lankford, along with both of his parents, preceded him in death. Also surviving is his aunt, Melba Bay, long-time Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs, CO, resident, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
Following the memorial service at Colorado Springs, CO, his ashes will be returned to Oklahoma, for interment in the Dewey Cemetery, Dewey, Oklahoma.
