Herbert Lammon Obituary
Herbert "Junior" Lammon Jr., 80, of Wauseon passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, Dec. 9, 2016. He was born in Ottokee on May 26, 1936, to the late Herbert and Treva (Lawrence) Lammon Sr.
Junior attended Chesterfield-Dover schools. He worked alongside his parents at Lammon's Junk Yard, Gas Station and General Store, and was the owner and operator of J.R. Distributors for many years. He was a member of the Delta Eagles, the Wauseon American Legion, VFW Post #7424, and the Farm Bureau. Junior enjoyed fishing and sitting out by his pond, collecting old cars –being especially fond of his 1978 Corvette pace car – and coins, playing poker and other card games, watching NASCAR and baseball, and working in his yard.
He is survived by his four children, Connie Blumenfeld of California, Robin Taft of Harrison Lake, Penny (Joe) Shiple of Ney, and Rebecca "Becky" (Don) Wright of Delta; eight grandchildren, Adam (Jessenia) Taft, Lindsay Lammon, Leslie (Dustin) Gamble, Tony Snape, Danielle Blumenfeld, Dustin (Lacy) Blumenfeld, Maverick Wright, and Brooklyn Wright; and five great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Danny Lammon.
To honor Junior's wishes, there will be no services held at this time.
Barnes Funeral Chapel in Delta has been entrusted with arrangements.
