Gary Fish Obituary

Gary W. Fish

Waupun - Gary W. Fish, 68, of Waupun, peacefully passed away December 23, 2017 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac surrounded by his family.

Gary was born September 25, 1949 in Viroqua, WI the son of Kenneth and Bonnie Clark Fish. Gary graduated from Westby High School in 1967 where he met his high school sweetheart, Carolyn Jorgenson. On August 30, 1969 they were married in Coon Valley, WI. They next day they moved to Waupun where Gary had his first teaching job at Amity School. He taught for 37 years with the Waupun School District. Gary loved teaching because he always thought he could influence the lives of young people. He loved to bowl, fish, and hunt with family and friends, and take his grandkids out fishing and hunting. He truly loved hosting many fish frys for family and friends. He enjoyed playing cribbage once a month with his fellow retirees who were among his best friends.

Gary is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carolyn; a daughter, Tracy (Tim) Weiser of Georgia, a son, Jason (Melissa) Fish of New Berlin, a daughter, Lisa (Sean) Fromolz of Waupun; seven grandchildren: Ana, Philip, and Anthony Bonilla, Makenzie and Madigan Fish, and Tyler and Hunter Fromolz; two brothers: Mark Fish and Jeff (Bonny) Fish; two sisters: Debra (Al) Ninas and Denise Ashlin; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; and a son-in-law, Luis Bonilla.

A gathering of friends and family will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun.

We loved Gary Fish! Always a happy guy and Vance enjoyed bowling with him those years. My heart aches for all of you--my words seem so shallow and cannot cover your pain. I hope you have peace that passes understanding.
