Julene Mulder Obituary
Waupun - Julene Beatrice Mulder, age 92 of Waupun, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2019, at the Christian Living Center surrounded by her family.
Julene was born on April 11, 1926, in the township of Alto, a daughter of Ben and Minnie (Kemink) Broadway. On July 18, 1946, she was united in marriage to Gerald Mulder at Alto Christian Reformed Church. Julene was a dedicated farmer's wife and busy mom of 5 sons and 1 daughter. She enjoyed getting together with siblings and playing Rook. Julene loved family gatherings and seeing her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Julene is survived by six children, Ronald (Ann) Mulder of Brandon, Larry (Gloria) Mulder of Brandon, Byron (Donna) Mulder of Windsor, Wayne (Rhonda) Mulder of Waupun, Mary (Kevin) Baerwald of Theresa and Robert (Michelle) Mulder of Waupun; twenty three grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; one sister, Pat Van Dyken; one sister-in-law, Julia Broadway; two brothers-in-law, Harvey Flier and Bernard (Beverly) Mulder; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald; three sisters, Hilda (Roger) Vande Zande, Lucille (Allen) Klumpers and Marge (Lowell) Bruins; one brother, Kenneth Broadway; one brother-in-law, Al Van Dyken; four sisters-in-law, Catherine (Warren) Derksen, Clara Mae Flier, Helen (Wally) Neevel and Leona Vande Zande; one great-granddaughter, Hazel Mulder.
Visitation for Julene will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 13, 2019, at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 West Main Street, Waupun and on Monday, January 14, 2019 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 410 South West Street, Waupun.
A funeral service for Julene will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, January 14, 2019, at church with Rev. Jeff Brower officiating. Burial will follow at Alto Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been directed to the Christian Home, 331 Bly Street, Waupun.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff and care takers at the Christian Living Center.
