Robert G Olson "OLE"
I served with Ole on the Mukwonago Fire Department and together we responded to many calls. I need to say this as I know he would laugh as fighting fires with Ole was a treat with Ole sitting on nails, leaving equipment in the fire or giving me a boost up into a attic fire, Ole was always there and we both enjoyed every minute.
Ole was a very good friend and he will be greatly missed.

Bob was a true gentleman. No one could not like him. Bob was a leader in numismatics. That is how I knew him. He and I collected military money. We were working together on several projects. I am very sad. We lost a wonderful guy and great collector.

As a Vietnam veteran and a collector of military items, I was glad to meet Bob at some of the Chicago area coin shows. He was quite the knowledgeable collector, and I was impressed to see his publication about military chits used in Vietnam. That was an impressive accomplishment, and I am sad that I passed on getting one of his booklets for my own. I also saw him wheeling and dealing with some of the great dealers in paper money. He not only held his own, but came out ahead! his kindness and good humor was much appreciated. Candolences to the family and friends.

I was so sad to hear that Bob passed away. Like many of the other people posting here, I knew Bob from his presence at the MPC Fests and other numismatic events. He will be so very missed. He was warm, likable, considerate, and genuine. We plan to name a new award after him at this year's Fest and would be happy to let his family know more about it.

I met Bob at my first MPC Fest 9 years ago and even though he seemed quiet it didn't take long to become friends. Besides the Fest we would see each other at paper money shows in Chicago and Memphis usually getting together for breakfast or lunch and discussing the treasures we found at the bourse. Rest in piece Bob I will miss a kind friend.

I meet Bob at the MPC Fests & he was always a pleasure to talk to. He use to come to AZ to see his mother & we always got together to talk about anything & everything. He was a very diverse collector & always enjoyed talking about his new or latest acquisitions. I will miss him dearly as I believe we all will, he was always ready with a pleasant smile at Fest. RIP Bob.

I knew Bob through his interest in military money. He was a friend to all and characteristically rather quiet about his accomplishments. He always gave a heartfelt talk at our annual MPCFests in Port Clinton, OH.

All of the Festers will miss our friend. May his memory be a blessing.

I first met Bob Olson at the MPC Fest and since we were both First Sergeants we were often exchanging ideas. Bob had a large variety of collecting interest and many were in common between the both of us and we both enjoyed talking about them. We would trade material so both of our collections would grow. I always enjoyed seeing Bob Olson and I will miss our talks. Bob will be missed by me and many in the numismatic community. May he find joy in the great bourse in the heaven.

Dan and I were sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was a good friend and a dedicated numismatist, especially as it related to World War II He had gone to several ANA Summer Seminars to expand his knowledge, and was willing to share that knowledge with anyone who was interested. He will be missed.
