John Melanson Obituary
of Fitchburg; 69
FITCHBURG -- John E. Melanson, 69, of Fitchburg, passed away April 30, 2015 in the Kindred Hospital in Natick.
John was born in New Brunswick, Canada, a son of the late Joseph and Regina (Girouard) Melanson. For over 10 years, John worked for the Haartz Company in Acton.
He loved playing and watching hockey games. John was also a New England Patriots football fan. He belonged to the Canadian Club in Gardner.
He leaves his cousin, Joseph Goguen and his wife, Cecilia of Leominster; and many cousins in Canada.
In addition to his parents, John was also predeceased by his wife, Gail (Nash) Melanson.
MELANSON -- Calling hours will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Friday, May 8, from 6-8 p.m. Friends and family are invited to meet at the Evergreen Cemetery on Saturday, May 9 at 10am for prayers of committal.

John was a very caring person never forget how he watched over my Mom & Dad when we were not there. He always took interest in wanting to know how all the neighbors were doing. May you rest in peace.
