Connie was born in Waterloo, the daughter of the late Harold and Emma (Fitzsimmons) Lamson. She graduated from Waterloo High School, Class of 1956. In 1957 she married Gerald McGuane and the couple shared a wonderful 30 years together until Jerry passed away in 1987. A few years after her husband's passing, Connie became acquainted with Dick McKenna, and the two hit it off. Though they never married, they celebrated 25 years together before Dick passed in 2015.

Connie worked at GTE Sylvania in Seneca Falls for many years until they closed, and then worked for Geneva General Hospital where she retired after a long career in the Central Supply Department. She was a member of the American Legion Warner-VamnRiper Post 435 Auxiliary for many years and a lifelong member of St. Mary's Church.

Connie loved to play cards. She was a well-known euchre player in the area, and she played every chance she got. Her love for euchre had her playing at the SMS Lodge, the Moose Lodge, and even the North Seneca Sportsman & Rifle Club, where she became a member. Getting together and playing cards brought her great enjoyment and allowed her to meet many new people. Not only was she skilled at cards, but she was also known to have tremendous luck. Many times, she found herself winning raffles, drawings, or contests-and acted surprised every time. One area where she didn't need luck was with her family. Her love for her family, and especially her grandkids, knew no bounds.

Connie is survived by her son, Shaun (Sandy) McGuane; grandchildren, Patrick and Molly McGuane and their mother, Christine McGuane; brothers, James (Donna) and George (Kay) Lamson; sister, Dolores Jorgenson; dear family friend, Clayton Sperry; as well as many nieces, nephews, dear friends, and extended family.

She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Lamson and a sister, Ann Draper.
